Cavala, one of the first restaurant on the Calangute – Baga coast was a meeting place for travelers from the world over. Here they shared their good times, their stories, adventures and a laugh over a beer and a spicy 'Country Captain' or Trincomalee Prawns on a long table under the almond tree and when some resident enthusiast prepared a paella for one and all.

Today, even thirty years and more after those heady, hippy years, many still return with friends, relatives and children to meet old friends and make new ones.

On some evenings the soothing melodies from our piano  filters through our restaurant. On other nights our band gets your hearts racing where dancing shoes starts tapping and partners twirling.

People come to our restaurant for a drink, good food and service and also a friendly chat, a pretty face, a smile. This is what Cavala is all about.
